Aug 10: Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths

 A moment I felt connected to nature was when I went to a shrine in Japan. the shrine was covered with greenery and life. I felt as if the spirits of nature were with me as I walked through the area, as if I was welcomed by the land itself, mixing with the influences of the humans that built the shrine. 

The lesson we learned today was all about native American literature and its elements. We were shown elements such as kinship with the land, living one with nature, and having reverence for the land. Just learning about this in one lesson, it opened my eyes on how I should respect all living things as equals, and to not hold one over another, not even myself.
